Egypt in 8 Days: the Pyramids, a Nile Cruise & the Land of the Pharaohs
Egypt is the journey almost everyone means to take one day — and our escorted 8-day Egyptian Highlights tour is the easiest way to finally take it. In a single unforgettable week you’ll stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza, sail the Nile past temples that have watched the river flow for three thousand years, and walk into the tombs of the Valley of the Kings. Every detail is handled by Savitar Tours, so all you do is arrive.
From the Pyramids of Giza to the temples of the Nile
Your journey begins in Cairo, where you’ll enter the Great Pyramid and meet the Sphinx face to face, then fly south to the towering rock temples of Abu Simbel. From Aswan you’ll board the MS Concerto Plus for a three-night Nile cruise, gliding between the riverside temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu on the way to Luxor. There you’ll explore the Valley of the Kings — including the tomb of Tutankhamun — the vast columns of Karnak, and the sunlit courts of Luxor Temple, before returning to Cairo for the treasures of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Escorted, handled, and built for first-timers
Egypt rewards travelers who see it with expert guidance, and this is an escorted small-group tour from start to finish. Hotels and the Nile cruise are hand-selected, domestic flights and transfers are included, and a local team looks after the logistics — so a destination that can feel daunting on your own becomes simple and reassuring. It’s an ideal first trip to Egypt, and a richer one for returning travelers who want it done well. Behind it all is Savitar Tours and 30 years of crafting journeys like this one.
