Day 1 – Palermo (D)
Arrive in Palermo and make your way independently to the hotel. Take time to relax and settle in. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel, preparing for the journey ahead. Overnight stay in Palermo at Hotel Mercure Palermo Centro 4*.
Day 2 – Palermo → Monreale → Palermo (B, D)
Start the day with an excursion to Monreale, renowned for its Norman architecture and stunning Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy time to shop for local delicacies before returning to Palermo for a walking tour of its historic center. Discover the city’s diverse influences reflected in its palaces, churches, and lively streets. Visit the Palermo Cathedral, with its fascinating blend of architectural styles and rich history. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.
Day 3 – Palermo → Erice → Marsala (Light Lunch & Wine Tasting) → Agrigento (B, L, D)
Travel to Erice, a beautifully preserved medieval village known for its ancient charm. Continue to Marsala for a light lunch and wine tasting at a traditional winery. After this flavorful experience, drive to Agrigento and visit the famous Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO site featuring impressive ruins such as the Temples of Concordia, Hercules, and Jupiter. Check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Agrigento at Hotel Della Valle 4*.
Day 4 – Agrigento → Ragusa Ibla → Ragusa (B, D)
Depart for Ragusa and explore its historic quarter, Ragusa Ibla. Stroll through the Giardini Iblei and admire exquisite Baroque architecture, including the Church of San Giuseppe, Cathedral of San Giorgio, and Cosentini Palace. This area forms part of the UNESCO-listed Val di Noto. After the walking tour, check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Ragusa at Hotel Poggio del Sole 4*.
Day 5 – Ragusa → Noto → Siracusa → Taormina (B, D)
Begin with a visit to Noto, celebrated for its graceful Baroque buildings and the restored Cathedral of San Nicolò. Continue to Siracusa and explore Ortygia Island, the ancient heart of the city filled with medieval and Baroque landmarks. Later in the afternoon, arrive in Taormina. Check in at your central hotel and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in Taormina at Hotel Splendid 4* or Hotel Caesar Palace 4* (Giardini Naxos) only on departures May 14 & September 03.
Day 6 – Taormina → Mount Etna → Taormina (B)
Embark on an excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano. Learn about its geology and explore the lunar-like landscape of lava fields and craters. Weather permitting, ascend up to 1,800 meters for breathtaking panoramic views. Return to Taormina in the afternoon and enjoy free time to explore or relax in this romantic hilltop town. Overnight stay in Taormina.
Day 7 – Taormina (B)
After breakfast, your Sicilian adventure concludes. Depart independently for your onward journey. End of services.
