7-Day Uganda Safari: Gorilla Trekking, Chimps & Queen Elizabeth Wildlife

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK - Lake Mburo National Park - Entebbe

Mountain Gorilla - Uganda

Mountain Gorilla - Uganda

Visit the great African game of Queen Elisabeth National Park, discover on foot the chimpanzees of Kibale National park, enjoy birding in Bigodi Swamp, discover on foot the last mountain gorillas and visit the 2 great lakes: Victoria and Edward.

Best Time to Visit Uganda for a Safari

The best time for Uganda gorilla trekking is during the dry seasons: June–September and December–February. Trails are drier, gorillas are easier to spot, and weather is more predictable. That said, Uganda can be visited year-round — the wet seasons bring lush green landscapes and fewer crowds. Gorilla permits ($800 per person) sell out fast during peak months, so we recommend booking 6–9 months in advance.
